Cari amici e colleghi,

Siamo giunti alla conclusione di questo nostro percorso europeo. Oggi ci troviamo qui, ospiti della Scuola di Pitigliano, per fare la sintesi del nostro lavoro.

Mi guardo indietro e il mio pensiero ritorna alle origini del nostro Progetto Comenius, il già lontano 1996 allorquando andavamo preparando le basi da cui il Progetto sarebbe dovuto partire. Ricordo la prima visita che effettuai a Stoccarda dove incontrai per la prima volta Jürgen Elsäßer, il Preside della Scuola “Jörg-Ratgeb-Schule” e Klaus Schell che è stato l’anima del Progetto nel suo Paese e non solo.

Ricordo il primo incontro fra Scuole partner – Germania, Spagna e Italia – a Moriles di Cordoba, in Andalusia, ospiti della Scuola “Garcia de Leaniz” nel marzo 1997, con il quintetto mitico di insegnanti: Beatrice, Giancarla, Klaus Schell, Wolfgang Simon e l’inossidabile José Maria Cordon.

Poi, nel tempo, le Scuole spagnole “Colegio Publico Nuestra Señora de Araceli”, “Colegio Publico Juan de Aréjula”, “Instituto de Educacion Secundaria BOABDIL”, la Scuola italiana “Mario Trigari” di Mondovì, la seconda Scuola tedesca “Grundschule am Ritterfeld” di Berlino, la Nursery School “Kelsall Avenue” di Blackburn e la Scuola “Istituto Comprensivo Umberto 1°” di Pitigliano.

Molte cose abbiamo costruito insieme, tutte interessanti e creative, nel dispiegarsi dei tre Progetti che abbiamo implementato nell’ultimo settennio:

• la Didattica Metacognitiva e l’insegnamento delle strategie di pensiero (1997-1998-1999);
• La Creatività del pensiero e l’Intelligenza emotiva (2000);
• Dal nostro Paese…all’Europa” (2002/2004).

A Paesana abbiamo posto in essere numerosi Corsi di formazione. Siamo partiti con un seminario, nel 1996, diretto dal Prof. Rudy Magnan di New York, sulla metodologia “CoRT Thinking” di Edward De Bono. Abbiamo organizzato altri Corsi sulla didattica metacognitiva, sulle strategie di pensiero e sul programma di educazione cognitiva “Bright Start” di Carl Haywood (1997-1998), un Corso di Lingua Inglese per insegnanti (1999), un Seminario “Penso…dunque cresco” (1999) su argomenti metacognitivi e un Seminario di autoaggiornamento sulla creatività di pensiero e intelligenza emotiva (2000).

Il dirigente scolastico e un’insegnante di Scuola Materna hanno tenuto due corsi, rispettivamente sulla didattica metacognitiva (1998) e sul metodo “Bright Start” di Carl Haywood (2000), presso la Scuola partner “Mario Trigari” di Mondovì.

In merito a tutto il lavoro di preparazione abbiamo allestito due Bibliografie ragionate: sulla didattica metacognitiva e sulla creatività di pensiero e intelligenza emotiva. Abbiamo anche elaborato alcuni dossiers scritti relativi ai Corsi di formazione e alle esperienze attivate in classe.

In ciascuno dei sei anni di attività Comenius abbiamo partecipato a due/tre Visite di studio o Incontri di progetto presso le Scuole partner e abbiamo ospitato i colleghi delle stesse. Durante queste visite abbiamo effettuato scambi di materiali, di esperienze e di opinioni sul Progetto Comenius.

Gli alunni delle varie scuole sono stati in contatto reciproco tramite lettere, e-mail, scambio di lavori, fotografie e materiale didattico.

Nel 2001 dodici alunne di Stoccarda, accompagnate dai loro docenti Lucia Mancini e Hartmut Köhler, sono venute in visita a Paesana, ospiti presso le famiglie delle loro coetanee. Al termine dell’anno scolastico le alunne di Paesana sono state a loro volta ospiti delle compagne di Stoccarda.

Nel 2002, insieme a Marjorie, Nunzia e tre insegnanti di Pitigliano, abbiamo relazionato sulle nostre esperienze Comenius al Seminario provinciale “Socrates” in Cuneo.

Con gli alunni nelle classi abbiamo lavorato intensamente:

• Il Progetto Comenius ha iniziato a dare i suoi primi frutti con l’applicazione del metodo “CoRT Thinking” di Edward De Bono nelle classi terminali della scuola primaria e del metodo “Bright Start” di Carl Haywood nella scuola dell’infanzia e nelle prime classi della scuola primaria (1998-1999).
• La Prof. Gerlinde Rakoczy ha condotto un laboratorio tecnico-creativo nella scuola elementare di Paesana (1999).
• Il Prof. Klaus Schell ha animato un laboratorio di creatività nella scuola presso la primaria e la secondaria di Paesana (2001).
• Abbiamo proseguito con lo sviluppo della metodologia metacognitiva sia nella scuola primaria sia nella scuola secondaria e abbiamo introdotto processi educativi rivolti alla creatività del pensiero e all’intelligenza emotiva (1999-2000-2001).
• Abbiamo esteso il programma “CoRT Thinking” a quattro classi della scuola secondaria negli anni 2000-2001-2002-2003.
• Abbiamo registrato su numerose videocassette le esperienze maturate durante le visite di scambio e le sequenze dei corsi di formazione tenuti a Paesana. Una di queste cassette comprende una Sintesi sulla metacognizione in classe e percorre gli anni di lavoro che vanno dal 1997 al 1999.
• Abbiamo sintetizzato i contenuti e i prodotti del Progetto Comenius in un CD-rom.
• Abbiamo infine aperto una WEB-Page (www.ic.milani.too.it) che riporta le caratteristiche e le realizzazioni fondamentali del Progetto Europeo.

Ed eccoci a concludere. Prima di tutto con un vivo ringraziamento per tutti i colleghi, alunni e genitori che hanno contribuito a far crescere l’iniziativa in partenariato. Poi con un saluto ideale a tutti coloro che, avendo lavorato con noi, ora sono lontani. Con l’espressione di gratitudine per la Comunità Europea che ha finanziato il Progetto Comenius e per tutti gli Enti che ci hanno sostenuto economicamente. Rammentiamo, infine, che il nostro Progetto Comenius ci ha concesso di creare opportunità educative nuove e innovative, di incrementare la dimensione Europea nella scuola, di portare a reciproca conoscenza un gran numero di persone intelligenti e volenterose in un clima piacevole di amicizia.

Al di là dei risultati educativi e didattici, che abbiamo constatato emergere in misura copiosa, grande soddisfazione ci viene dall’aver lavorato insieme in questo Progetto pluriennale che a buona ragione potrebbe anche andare sotto il nome di “Comenius per conoscerci”.

Dear Friends and Colleagues,

We got to the end of our European way. We meet here, today, stayed with Pitigliano School to synthesize our work.

I look back and my thought come back to beginning of our Comenius Project, at already far 1996, when we were planning the start of the Project. I remember my first visit in Stuttgart, where I first met Jürgen Elsäßer and   Klaus Schell. Jürgen was the headmaster of “Jörg-Ratgeb-Schule” and Klaus has been the heart of the Project in his Country and not only.

I remember the first meeting between the Partner Schools – Germany, Spain and Italy – at Moriles of Cordoba, in Andalusia, where we stayed with the “Garcia de Leaniz” School in March 1997. There was, in that occasion, the fantastic quintet formed from the following teachers: Beatrice, Giancarla, Klaus Schell, Wolfgang Simon and the unshakeable José Maria Cordon.

Then, as time went on, the Spanish Schools “Colegio Publico Nuestra Señora de Araceli”, “Colegio Publico Juan de Aréjula”, “Instituto de Educacion Secundaria BOABDIL”, the Italian School “Mario Trigari” of Mondovì, the second German School “Grundschule am Ritterfeld” of Berlin, the Nursery School “Kelsall Avenue” of Blackburn and the School “Istituto Comprensivo Umberto 1°” of Pitigliano.

We made many things together, all of these interesting and creative during the three Projects we implemented through the last septennium:

• The Metacognitive Didactics and the teaching about the thinking strategies (1997-1998-1999);
• The Thought’s Creativity and Emotional Intelligence (2000);
• From the Origins of my People towards Citizenship of Europe (2002/2004).

We realized many training Courses in Paesana. We started by a Seminary, in 1996, given by Rudy Magnan from New York, about the “CoRT Thinking” methodology of Edward De Bono. We organized other Courses about the Metacognitive Didactics, about the thinking strategies and about the Cognitive Educational Program “Bright Start” of Carl Haywood (1997-1998), an English learning Course for our teachers (1999), a Seminary entitled “I think … so I grow up” on metacognitive topics, and a Seminary on Thought’s Creativity and Emotional Intelligence (2000).

The headmaster and a Nursery School teacher gave two Courses, on the metacognitive didactics (1998) and about “Bright Start” method of Carl Haywood (2000) respectively, at “Mario Trigari” Partner School in Mondovì.

We wrote two rational Bibliographies concerning the preparatory work: one on the Metacognitive Didactics, the other on the Thought’s Creativity and Emotional Intelligence. We elaborated some written digests pertinent to the training Courses and the experiences in class-room.

In each of the six years in Comenius activities we took part in two or three Meetings at the Partner Schools and we gave hospitality to the Colleagues from the same Schools. During these meetings we carried out evaluations, educational plans, exchanges of materials, experiences and opinions about the Comenius Project.

The students from various Schools kept in touch among them by letters, e-mail, products, photos and didactic material exchanges.

In 2001 twelve schoolgirls from Stuttgart, led by their teachers Lucia Mancini and Hartmut Köhler, came to Paesana, and they were guests in the families of their contemporaries. At the end of the school year the schoolgirls from Paesana stayed, in their turn, with their mates in Stuttgart.

In 2002, with Marjorie, Nunzia and three teachers from Pitigliano School, we made a detailed report on our Comenius experiences at Provincial Socrates Seminary in Cuneo.

We worked intensely with the students in class-rooms:

• The Comenius Project started to yield the first effects by applying the “CoRT Thinking” method of Edward De Bono in the last classes of Primary School and the “Bright Start” method of Carl Haywood in the Nursery School and in the first classes of Primary School (1998-1999).
• The Lady Professor Gerlinde Rakoczy organized a technical-creative Laboratory in the Primary School of Paesana (1999).
• The Professor Klaus Schell carried out a Creativity Laboratory in Primary and Secondary Schools of Paesana (2001).
• We went on by developing the Metacognitive Didactics in Primary and Secondary Schools and we brought some educational processes concerning the Thought’s Creativity and Emotional Intelligence (1999-2000-2001)..
• We expanded the “CoRT Thinking” Program in favour of our classes of Secondary School, in years 2000-2001-2002-2003.
• We recorded in a lot of videotapes the experiences we made in occasion of the Meetings and we inclosed the sequences of training Courses we had in Paesana. One of these videotapes include a synthesis about the Metacognitive Didactics in class-room and it goes  along the years from 1997 to 1999.
• We synthesized the contents and the products of Comenius Project in a CD-rom.
• We opened a WEB-page (www.ic.milani.too.it), at last, relating the distinctive features and the most important achievements of the European Project.

And here we are to conclude. First of all I thank heartily the whole of Colleagues, the Students, the Parents who shared in grown the partner-working. Then I wish to send a symbolical greeting to all those who worked with us, but they’re unable to be here today. I would give all my gratitude to European Community which provided money for the Comenius Project and to all private and public companies who supported us by economic help. We remember, at last, our Comenius Project allowed us to create a new kind of innovative educational opportunities. It allowed us, as well, to know each other and to work together between intelligent and keen People into a pleasant and friendly context.

Over the educational and didactic results, we verified looming out fully, we had a great satisfaction from the work developed together a long time in this Project which we could name very rightly “Comenius to know one another”.

Estimadas amigas, estimados amigos y colegas,

Llegamos a la conclusion de este nuestro recorrido Europeo. Hoy nosotros somos aquì, huéspedes del Colegio de Pitigliano, por hacer la síntesis del nuestro trabajo.

Yo estoy mirando atrás y mi pensamiento volve a las origines del nuestro Proyecto Comenius, el ya lejano 1996 cuando nosotros preparabamos las bases de las cuáles el Proyecto debía salir. Yo recordo la primera visita que yo efectué a Stuttgart donde yo encontré por la primera vez Jürgen Elsäßer y Klaus Schell que ha sido el alma del Proyecto en el su Paìs y no tan solo.

Yo recordo el primero encuentro entre los Colegios asociados – Alemania, España e Italia – a Moriles de Córdoba en Andalusia, huéspedes del Colegio “Garcia de Leaniz” – era el mes de marzo 1997 – con el mítico quinteto de profesores: Beatrice, Giancarla, Klaus Schell, Wolfgang Simon y el inoxidable José Maria Cordon.

Luego, el tiempo transcurriendo, las Escuelas españolas “Colegio Publico Nuestra Señora de Araceli”, “Colegio Publico Juan de Aréjula”, “Instituto de Educacion Secundaria BOABDIL”, el Colegio italiano “Mario Trigari” de Mondovì, el segundo Colegio alemano “Grundschule am Ritterfeld” de Berlin, el Colegio infantil “Kelsall Avenue” de Blackburn y el Colegio  “Istituto Comprensivo Umberto 1°” de Pitigliano.

Muchas cosas nosotros hemos construido a la vez, todas interesantes y creativas, en el desenrollarse de tres Proyectos que nosotros hemos realizado en los ultimos siete años:

• La Didáctica metacognitiva en las estrategias de enseñar a pensar y en los aprendizajes realizados por los alumnos de tres a catorce años (1997-1998-1999).
• Creatividad del pensamiento e inteligencia emocional (2000).
• De nuestro País … a Europa (2002/2004).

A Paesana hemos organizado muchos cursos de formación. Nos hemos empezado con un Seminario, en el año 1996, dirigido por el Profesor Rudy Magnan de New York, sobre la metodologia “CoRT Thinking” de Edward De Bono. Hemos organizado tres cursos relativos a la didactica metacognitiva, a las estrategias de enseñar a pensar y al programa de educación cognitiva “Bright Start” de Carl Haywood (1997-1998), y además un curso de Lengua inglésa para profesores (1999), un Seminario titulado “Penso … por lo tanto acrecento” concerniente argumentos metacognitivos (1999) y un Seminario de autoformación con referencia a la creatividad del pensamiento e inteligencia emocional (2000).

El director y una maestra de Escuela Infantil de Paesana han hablado en dos cursos, respectivamente sobre la didactica metacognitiva (1998) y sobre el método “Bright Start” de Carl Haywood (2000), cerca de el Colegio asociado “Mario Trigari” de Mondovì.

En relación con todo el trabajo de preparación nos hemos puesto a punto dos Bibliografias con inscripciónes: una concerniente la didactica metacognitiva y una otra relativa a la creatividad del pensamiento e inteligencia emocional. Nos hemos también escrito unas relaciónes inherentes a los cursos de formación y a las experiencias realizadas en el aula.

En cada año de Proyecto Comenius hemos partecipado en dos/tres Visitas de estudio en los Colegios asociados y hemos recebido las y los colegas de los mismos Colegios. Durante estas visitas hicimos valoraciónes, programaciónes, cambios de materiales, de experiencias y de opiniónes relativamente al Proyecto Comenius.

Los alumnos de los diferentes Colegios han sido en contacto recíproco por lo medio de cartas, de correo electronico, de cambio en obras, fotografías y material didactico.

En el año 2001 doce alumnas de Stuttgart, acompañadas por sus profesores Lucia Mancini y Hartmut Köhler, han llegado in visita a Paesana, huéspedes en casa de sus coetáneas. Al término del año escolar las alumnas de Paesana han sido a su vez huéspedes en casa de sus compañeras in Stuttgart.

En el año 2002, juntos a Marjorie, Nunzia y tres maestras de Pitigliano, partecipamos al Seminario provincial “Socrates” in Cuneo e hicimos una oración concerniente a nuestras experiencias Comenius.

Con los alumnos en aula trabajamos intensamente:

• El Proyecto Comenius empezó a producir los primeros resultados mediante el desarrollo del metodo “CoRT Thinking” de Edward De Bono en las classes terminales de la escuela primaria y del metodo “Bright Start” de Carl Haywood en la escuela infantil y en las primeras classes de la escuela primaria (1998-1999).
• La Profesora Gerlinde Rakoczy efectuó un laboratorio técnico-creativo en la escuela primaria de Paesana (1999).
• El Prof. Klaus Schell realizó un laboratorio de creatividad en la escuela primaria y secundaria de Paesana (2001).
• Nos hemos proseguido en el desarrollo de la metodologia metacognitiva dentro de las classes del curso primario y del curso secundario y nos hemos introducido procedimientos educativos inherentes a la creatividad del pensamiento y a la inteligencia emocional (1999-2000-2001).
• Nos hemos extendido el programa “CoRT Thinking” a cuatro classes del curso secundario en los años 2000-2001-2002-2003.
• Registramos en muchas videocasetes las experiencias hechas durante los encuentros de Proyecto y el desarrollarse de los cursos de formación organizados a Paesana. Una de estas casetes incluye una síntesis sobre la metacognición en el aula y recorre los años de trabajo que van de 1997 al 1999.
• Nos hemos sintetizado los contenidos y los productos del Proyecto Comenius en un CD-rom.
• En fin hemos abierto un sitio WEB (www.ic.milani.too.it) que pone en evidencia las características y las obras fundamentales del Proyecto Europeo.

Aquí estamos a concluir. Antes que nada con un sincero agradecimiento por todas/todos las/los colegas, alumnos y padres que han contribuido a acrecentar la iniciativa asociada. Luego con un saludo ideal a todas ellas – todos ellos – que, habiendo obrado conjuntamente a nos todos, ahora estan lejanos. Yo quiero expresar mi y nuestra gratitud a la Comunidad Europea que ha proveido el dinero y a todos los Entes y Bancos que han sostenido el nuestro Proyecto Comenius. Acordamonos, en fin, que el nuestro Proyecto nos ha concedido crear oportunidades educativas nuevas e inovadoras, incrementar la dimensión Europea en las escuelas, conocer recíprocamente muchas personas inteligentes y voluntariosas en un contexto agradable de amistad.

Más allá de los resultados educativos y didacticos, que nos comprobamos sobresalir en gran medida, nos experimentamos una fuerte satisfacción por haber trabajado juntos en esto Proyecto a lo largo de siete años, un Proyecto que, de otra manera, podría ser llamado “Comenius para conocernos”.
